Hiking and exploration
We are located in the farthest part of the undiscovered and wild Onsernone Valley, just a 30-minute walk from the Italian border, far from mass tourism, in the middle of the planned National Park. There’s a lot to discover!
Popular destinations for hiking are the two Alps Salei and Pesced
The Vergeletto Valley with Alps and the Mountains Pilone, Munelüm and Zucchero. A longer journey will take you to Italy and up the other side of the valley.
You will find great swimming spots in the mountain-lake of Salei, the River Isorno at the bottom of the Valley with its marvelous basins, the newly renovated hot springs Bagni di Craveggia and the Canyon of Camana.
The new cablecar Vergeletto-Zott-Salei offers the possibility for one-day-trips to the next valley.
Interesting excursions:
Enjoy typical Swiss-Mountain villages Spruga and Comologno. The valley has a rich history which you are invited to discover.

Comologno: Beautiful old palaces, baroque church, newly renovated way of the cross at the cemetery, La Barca, former residence of writer Aline Valangin and her husband Vladimir Rosenbaum: refuge for opposition artists in the Third Reich. Well run restaurant Osteria Palazign.
